Alfa 30

The Alfa 30 is a great way to get started in intaglio printing (and relif printing like xylography, linocut, etc.) with a tool that is as economical as possible, but serious enough to talk about printing.
Its small size and weight also make it easy to move around, for workshops offering demonstrations and mobile practices.

The table top is made of 12mm thick HPL (High Pressure Laminate), measuring 300x500mm.
The diameter of the upper cylinder is 60mm, with a maximum height from the tabletop of 20mm. The bearings of the cylinders are attached to the pressure screws and rise or fall according to the setting. This is a useful feature when printing in relief, xylography or linocut, to facilitate height adjustment. The distance between the top cylinder and the platen can be read with a ruler in millimetres.

Pressure is adjusted by means of a fine-pitch M12 threaded screw (or spindle), ensuring fine, safe adjustment.

The total weight of the Alfa 30 press is 27 kg, making it light and easy to handle.
