Medium copperplate oil available in 250ml and 1l tins.

Medium viscosity oil used to modify the viscosity of etching inks or any oil-based printmaking ink.
Because of its medium viscosity, this oil thins (or dilute) the ink less than light copperplate oil.
Its dilution action is often lighter.

Cranfield oils are made from linseed oil and are available in 4 levels of increasing viscosity: Light copperplate Oil < Medium copperplate Oil < Heavy copperplate Oil < Extra heavy copperplate Oil.

Depending on the nature of the ink to be modified, or the initial viscosity level of the ink, the addition of one of these oils will increase or reduce the viscosity of the ink after preparation.
