Water-based spray paint for aquatint technique.
400 ml (340 g net).
Tested by us for use as an aquatint grain:
Thoroughly degrease the plate.
Shake well to fully disperse the paint inside the can.
Spray vertically from a distance of approximately 30 cm, using a continuous moving motion, in order to evenly cover the plate with fine micro-droplets (the cerulean blue colour provides good visibility on both copper and zinc).
Always start and stop spraying off the plate; otherwise, overly covered areas may occur.
Work in a well-ventilated area and wear a protective mask and safety goggles.
For cleaning the plate, use Mystrol or a caustic soda solution.
Always purge the spray can after use: hold it upside down and spray for a few seconds until no more paint is released.
