To increase the body of an ink.
150g in a plastic jar.
Magnesium hydroxide carbonate acts as a filler in the modification of printing ink.
It is a white powder with an extremely low density: even in small quantities, it takes up a lot of space (150g of powder occupies a volume of around 800ml. It is, roughly speaking, almost six times lighter than water).
It is added to ink when it is considered to be too thin, too runny and lacking in body. The amount to be added should be determined according to the application.
It acts as a ‘body-builder’.
