These crayons are made of wax, tallow and Syrian asphalt.
They are designed according to old formulas dating back to the time of Aloys Senefelder and the founders Rohrer & Klingner to have a high resistance to acidulation.
They are available in 6 degrees of hardness. Hard crayon is intended for fine lines (usually on finely grained stones). With soft crayons you get intense black lines (usually on rough grained stones).

Available in 6 hardnesses:
0 - extra soft
1 - soft
2 - medium
3 - hard
4 - extra hard
5 - copal
