Intaglio ink washable in soapy water
In tubes of 75ml and 250g cans (for blacks, process colours, opaque white & extender).
Handcrafted in Great Britain.
The range contains 3 blacks, 1 opaque white, 1 extender, the 3 process colours as well as a palette of 9 basic shades.
The pigments used are selected to ensure rich colors with maximum lightfastness. All inks are rated 6 or higher on the International Blue Wool Scale.
Caligo Safe Wash is oil based but cleans up with soapy water, avoiding the use of harmful solvents and allowing a "non-toxic" practice.
The ink does not contain any drier, allowing the printmaker to use them only when needed.
