It is applied in the same way as Lamour satin black engraving varnish: with a brush or paintbrush, cold. It can also be applied with a turner and poured onto an inclined board.
Its fluidity allows for extremely fine engravings, but the time available before it flakes off is relatively short compared to Lamour satin black engraving varnish.
Its transparency makes it easier to work on successive stages.
It dries slowly.
This varnish is highly recommended for the “sugar” varnish lifting technique.
Available in bottles of 75ml, 0,5l & 1l.
To be applied like Lamour black satin varnish: on cold plate with a soft brush. Its transparence allows working on the second state.
Composition :
asphaltum, turpentine, wax.
Dry extract: 25%
Translucent, glossy, hard.
