Used to reduce the stickiness of an ink without modifying its body (no dilution, no effect on transparency).

Cranfield Wiping Compound & Tack Reducer comes in a 500g can and is a non-drying additive.

It has a high modifying power, so only 3% should be used per volume of ink prepared.

Uses:

Helps to wipe intaglio inks and improves ink distribution on the plate.
Improves ink transfer to the paper in the case, for example, of large solid areas in relief printing (woodcut, linocut, etc.).
Reduces paper tearing at the end of printing (if this occurs).
